Moving from comfortable to happiness
“STEPPING ONTO A BRAND-NEW PATH IS DIFFICULT, BUT NOT MORE DIFFICULT THAN REMAINING IN A SITUATION WHICH IS NOT NURTURING TO THE WHOLE WOMAN.” Maya Angelou
What area in your own life where you have a belief that things can’t change? That it is too risky to start over. That you need to accept your current circumstances. You know......
I am too old; my best years have passed me by.
I am too young or do not have enough experience to seek that promotion into a leadership role.
I have a “good” job, but I am not fulfilled. It would be foolish to leave and start my own business.
These are simply thoughts of fear creeping up to stop us from achieving greatness and truly being happy. Often, we stay where we are for far too long because it is comfortable. That could manifest itself in a variety of circumstances; our city, our careers, or complacency in a platonic or intimate relationship that has run its course.
If you desire more, then why are you settling for less?
Look at your life and think about areas where you are genuinely happy or areas where you are going through the motion because it is comfortable.
It doesn’t have to be like this. We all have the power within us to create our own happiness.
I challenge you too really; I mean really own your own happiness, to wake up every day being in the moment, regardless of the circumstances; embracing each day with grace, peace, and appreciation.
No one is going to create your ideal life except you, and it starts with owning your happiness.
Healing and blessings,
Cathey
